We will occasionally have some natural disasters {fire from lightning, floods, droughts, etc.} occur in various parts of the lands, and occasionally there will be NPC predators and the like that destroy the peace and pose threats to cubs and adults alike, such as hyenas. Only admins may play the NPCs, but mods may make natural disasters happen as well.
However, if a mod is part of a thread, s/he can NOT make a natural disaster occur in the area they are role playing in at that time, same goes for NPC characters for admins.
Format of natural disasters:
Type: {Flood, drought, fire, etc.}
Level: {Level 1 to 5, 1 being the least, 5 being the worst... Fire level 1 would be easy to escape, even for cubs, but you could possibly get some smoke inhalation as a result and you'd be sick a bit from your lungs being full of smoke for a day or two. Fire level 5 would be that someone gets burned pretty badly and leaves scars where they were burned, or they die in a fire. Be fair when you are making your assessment of the level!}
Affects: {you must be fair here, as well, of course. if it affects the entire area, then it would most likely somehow affect everyone that is role playing in that area. If it is just a small portion of the land, then sometimes no one gets hurt, but it would be nice if someone would take the fall.}
NPC dangers may be anything ranging from hyenas picking a fight to a herd of elephants running from predators or just on the move to a stampede of antelope etc.
There will NOT be an occurrence all the time, but occasionally there will be something to watch out for.
When a natural disaster happens, it will be in its own thread on the board, so keep a look out for things. You MUST reply to what your character{s} suffered from if anything. Then you role play those effects into your current threads in the area. Floods can also result in exhaustion from having to swim for a long distance, water in the lungs, or if it is cold, then they can get sick from being too cold etc. You MUST incorporate things as you role play. This will give people more to write about so it is easier to come up with things instead of JUST replying to the previous poster or two etc.
Any questions, please post here.
